UAE says two Iranian drones hit Al Salam naval base warehouse in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI — The UAE Ministry of Defence said specialized teams responded to an incident on Sunday after two Iranian drones targeted a warehouse at Al Salam naval base in Abu Dhabi.The attack led to a fire in two containers storing general materials, but no casualties were reported, the ministry said.In a statement, the ministry strongly condemned the military targeting, describing it as a blatant act of aggression and a flagrant violation of national sovereignty and international law.It affirmed that the UAE reserves the full right to respond to the escalation and to take all necessary measures to protect its territory, citizens and residents in a manner that safeguards its sovereignty, security and stability, and protects its national interests and capabilities.The ministry stressed that it remains fully prepared to address any threats and is taking all necessary measures to confront attempts to undermine the country’s security and stability.It added that the safety of citizens, residents and visitors remains a top priority that cannot be compromised.
