Saudi Culture Ministry launches 6th National Cultural Awards; nominations open until April 1

RIYADH — The Ministry of Culture has announced the launch of the sixth edition of the National Cultural Awards, continuing its annual celebration of creative excellence across various cultural fields.The ministry has opened nominations to members of the cultural community and the public, allowing individuals to nominate themselves or others for awards dedicated to the Kingdom’s cultural sectors.Submissions are open through April 1 via the official awards website.The National Cultural Awards are divided into two main categories.The first category comprises the Main Awards, which include seven honors: Cultural Personality of the Year Award, Youth Culture Award, Business Leaders Award, Cultural Institutions Award (For-Profit), Cultural Institutions Award (Non-Profit), Cultural Media Award, and International Cultural Excellence Award.The second category includes the Sectoral Awards, featuring 12 honors: Literature Award, Publishing Award, Theater and Performing Arts Award, Culinary Arts Award, Architecture and Design Award, Translation Award, Fashion Award, Film Award, National Heritage Award, Music Award, Visual Arts Award, and Handcraft Award.The awards are part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to recognize pioneers of the cultural sector, honor the achievements of individuals and institutions across diverse disciplines, and acknowledge their contributions to advancing the sector.The initiative also aims to motivate national cultural talent and showcase Saudi cultural production locally and internationally.
