Saudi Arabia condemns Iranian attack on Oman after Duqm port strike

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom’s strong condemnation of a “heinous Iranian attack” on Oman and a blatant violation of its sovereignty.In a statement, the Kingdom affirmed its full solidarity with Oman and said it stands ready to place all its capabilities at Oman’s disposal in support of any measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security and stability.The Kingdom warned of the consequences of continued violations of state sovereignty by Iran, saying such actions undermine regional security and stability.It also called on the international community to adopt firm positions and take decisive measures against Iranian violations.Earlier, Oman’s state news agency reported that Duqm commercial port was targeted by two drones, injuring one worker.Oman had been spared from retaliatory strikes on Saturday.
