Saudi air defenses intercept, destroy 9 drones entering Kingdom’s airspace

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Defense Ministry said nine drones were intercepted and destroyed immediately after entering the Kingdom’s airspace.Defense Ministry spokesperson Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki confirmed that air defenses successfully neutralized the drones upon detection.During its session on Tuesday, the Saudi Cabinet affirmed that the Kingdom will take all necessary measures to defend its security and protect its territory, citizens and residents.The Cabinet also expressed appreciation for the positions voiced by leaders of brotherly and friendly countries condemning what it described as Iranian attacks targeting Saudi Arabia, Gulf Cooperation Council states and Jordan.
