Saudi air defenses intercept 19 drones over Eastern Province on Tuesday

RIYADH — Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense announced on Tuesday that air defenses intercepted and destroyed 19 drones over the Eastern Province in the early hours of Tuesday. The interceptions began overnight, with two drones shot down over the region, followed by two more an hour later. Four drones were intercepted after an hour, followed by three more that were destroyed. Quickly following suit, another drone was detected and intercepted, with two more being destroyed in the same hour. Later in the morning, one drone was intercepted and destroyed, and an additional four were shot down a few moments later.
