TEHRAN — Internet access across Iran remained severely restricted on Sunday as a nationwide blackout entered its second week, according to internet monitoring group NetBlocks. In a post published Sunday on the social media platform X, NetBlocks said the disruption had reached its ninth consecutive day.“Update: It's Sunday morning in Iran where the internet blackout continues into its second week, with the incident entering its ninth day at hour 192,” the organization wrote.NetBlocks said that while the country’s technical network infrastructure remains operational, residents currently have access only to a tightly restricted domestic network.According to Iranian official data, more than 1,200 people, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several senior military officials, have been killed and over 10,000 others injured in US-Israeli attacks on Iran since Feb. 28.Tehran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel and Gulf countries. The conflict has also raised concerns about global energy supplies amid a sharp drop in maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a key route that carries about 20 million barrels of oil per day.
