Eng. Sami Al-Jasser named CEO of Misk City

RIYADH — Mohammed bin Salman Nonprofit City (Misk City) announced the appointment of Eng. Sami Al-Jasser as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective from March 2, 2026, succeeding David Henry. The appointment recognizes Al-Jasser’s extensive experience in strategic development, organizational leadership, and public-private collaboration.Al-Jasser's understanding of Misk City's purpose and its ecosystem will be pivotal in leading the city into its next phase, building on the foundation laid over the past several years and accelerating its vision and continuous growth.After successfully leading the city through its foundational years, David Henry stepped down as CEO on Monday. Since joining in 2019, Henry has played a defining role in transforming Misk City from an ambitious vision into a structured, credible, and rapidly advancing reality, establishing the world’s first nonprofit city and a living platform for innovation, creativity, learning, and purposeful growth.Under his leadership, Misk City has evolved from master plans to milestones, including the activation of several key assets, the opening of Misk Schools and Riyadh Schools, the inauguration of the Misk Foundation headquarters building, and the shaping of a unique urban model that reflects the values of the Misk ecosystem and the aspirations of Saudi youth. At the request of the Misk City board, Henry will continue to support the city as a board advisor through mid-2026, ensuring a smooth and structured transition.
