RIYADH — Cristiano Ronaldo has suffered a muscle injury, Al Nassr confirmed on Tuesday following medical tests conducted after the team’s most recent match.In an official statement, the club said examinations revealed a muscular injury that will require the Portuguese captain to undergo a rehabilitation program in the coming period.His condition will be monitored closely by the club’s medical staff before he returns to full training.Al Nassr added that Ronaldo will immediately begin treatment and recovery sessions, with his progress to be assessed continuously.The club did not specify how long the forward will be sidelined, pending his response to the rehabilitation program.Ronaldo was substituted in the 81st minute of Al Nassr’s 3-1 victory over Al Fayha after experiencing muscle discomfort.The 39-year-old was later seen applying an ice pack to his right thigh following the match.Head coach Jorge Jesus said at the time that the substitution was precautionary to avoid any potential aggravation of the injury.
